Blair Belton's (unofficial) DeKalb Zoning Site
The goal of this site is to inform citizens about county government activities in order to make DeKalb County a better place to live. Blair Belton created dekalbzoning.com way back in 1997 before creating websites was cool. In other words, he saw the need well before others did, and he decided to create this website to help educate the public about zoning and local government in DeKalb County, Georgia.
The site began as a way for people to know about rezonings in their neighborhoods in a timely manner. After creating the site, Blair learned the county and state provide a number of public forums where people can have input on development, schools, and other government activities. He felt that if more people knew about these procedures and understood them, then they would become more effective in shaping public policy; so these forums are listed on the website as well. The HTML for dekalbzoning.com is all hand-coded, by the way, just like tuckertoday.com's is. Visit the Website
